Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy
I have been practicing Psychotherapy for 22 years; and my experience is as vast as the life cycle itself, working with children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and couples. Currently, my primary focus is working with individuals and couples ages 18+ dealing with relationship issues, difficult life transitions, parenting issues, anxiety, depression, loss, grief, dealing with relationship issues, difficult life transitions, parenting issues, anxiety, depression, loss, grief, and trauma.
Although life cycle themes are often universal, my style of therapy is flexible, and varies with the individual. I have roots in existential therapy and evolutionary psychology; change occurs with the utilization of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamics, Mindfulness, Somatic Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), components of Internal Family Systems (IFS), assertiveness training, boundary-setting, self-care, and self-reflection.
I like to say that therapy is an “alive and breathing” practice. I have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training program, and am EMDR trained through EMDRIA. For individuals who are interested in going deeper, or when talk therapy isn’t enough, I partner with Journey Clinical in offering Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). In this case, medical staff at Journey Clinical will handle all medical aspects of the treatment, and I handle the psychotherapy components. Please feel free to ask me about KAP anytime!
